Today’s Topic… Secrets to Keeping a Cool Head Management STES S

How many times have you come to work and had to deal with… Conflicts with your co-workers! Difficult tasks and impossible projects!

Never ending meetings…! A workload meant for three...! Or deal with…

Makes for a stress-filled work environment, doesn’t it?

Well here’s what the doctor ordered to deal with your work-day stress! Ready? Here we go!

Be Self Consumed!

Self awareness is key to being able to successfully manage your stress. Knowing what stressors set you off is as important as knowing how to handle them.

The next time you find yourself stressed out, take a moment, take a step back, and answer the following questions:

How do I know I’m stressed? What happened to cause me to be stressed? Who else was involved? Could this have been avoided? What can I do differently? How can I alleviate my stress quickly and productively?

The answers to these questions can help you develop an effective stress management system to deal with recurring stressors.

-2- Drink!

Water is the best stress-reducing drink on the market. Water, that is!

Water hydrates and cleanses your system, removes toxins, and makes you less hungry. Drinking water a few times a day is the simplest stress reliever there is.

Inhale!

Mini-meditation sessions focused on breathing are great stress reducers that work wonders for the mind and body. Or, in other words – BREATHE!

While sitting or standing quietly, take a deep breath and as you exhale silently count “1”. Repeat this exercise until you reach “10” and see how less stressed you feel!

Be a Social Climber!

Or a social swimmer, or hiker, or biker… Or anything that is physically challenging.

Just 15 minutes of physical exercise during the work day will not only promote overall fitness, but will help you manage emotional stress and tension as well.

Be a Laughing Stock!

Humor is a wonderful stress-reducer that has been clinically proven to be effective in combating stress.

A good laugh relaxes tense muscles, speeds more oxygen into your system and lowers your blood pressure.

So the next time you feel stressed… Laugh! And watch your stress related blues melt away!

Remember…stress is a productivity killer! So use these tips to conquer it before it conquers you!
