ABOUT CROATIA  It is situated in South-East Europe at the crossroads of the Adriatic Sea and the Pannonian Plain  Croatia borders with Hungary, Slovenia, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro and Italy  Population of the country is 4.28 million people  Along the Croatian Adriatic coast there are more than a thousand islands  National anthem is „Lijepa naša domovino” (”Our Beautiful Homeland”)  Croatia became independant from Yugoslavia in 1991
