 According to cdxetextbook.com AWD cars :  Continuously power all four wheels ▪ This helps receive maximum traction in all conditions.  Are very useful on roads with slippery surfaces in and when driving in moderate off-road terrain.  There is no requirement for the driver to manually shift the transmission into AWD mode.  AWD cars are lighter and more compact than most 4WD car  Are becoming more common

 Can switch Between 4 WD and 2 WD  Trucks/SUVs  Best for off-road terrain  AWD all the time  Compact  Decent for off-road terrain

 According to mechanicalmania.com FWD cars:  The center of gravity of the vehicle is typically farther forward. ▪ This could result in understeer.  Because of the driveshaft in a FWD car the turning radius could be bigger.  In low traction conditions the front wheels lose traction first making steering ineffective.

 Also according to mechanicalmania.com RWD cars:  More difficult to master because of the handling  Usually smaller interior space  Typically more expensive  More difficult handling on low grip surfaces as the car is pushed rather than pulled.

 After given the background information about AWD cars, and the reasons why they are better than FWD and RWD cars…  I hope that I was able to convince you to go for AWD.
