Solar Powered Energy Source How solar power works By Luis, Nhi and Hanh

What is Solar and where does it come from?. The sun is a powerful source of energy and provides the earth with as much energy every hour as we collectively use in a year worldwide.. Solar comes from the sun’s heat and the sun is a hot, solar producing star.. The sun has produced energy for billions of years.. Solar energy is a solar radiation that reaches the earth.

How does Solar power Transform into Energy?. Two primary ways to transform solar energy into electricity is using solar thermal to generate electricity through a heating process and using photovoltaic technology to convert sunlight into electricity.. Photovoltaic works by allowing a practical of sunlight to knock electrons out of atom, generating a flow of electricity.. Many photovoltaic cells link together creates a solar panel.. Light hits the photovoltaic cells and it knocks out electron, then the electron travels through the silicon layers into wires. Sunlight hits Solar panel -PV cells are made of semiconductor. -Semiconductor = silicon, wire. -conductor means that electricity can pass through.

What are the positives of Solar?. Solar cells are made as small modules, so they can be used on a small or scale.. Solar is a free energy source and it is available worldwide.. Solar energy doesn’t create or make any air pollution.. It doesn’t pollute the air because it doesn’t have carbon dioxide and it is made from the sun’s heat.

What are the negatives of Solar?. Sunlight is spread worldwide, not concentrated in 1 place which means in some places it will be more sunny.. Cells and equipment doesn’t work at night or cloudy days.. Solar panels have to be tilted at an angle where sunlight will shine on better.. If you choose to use it, when you built your house you have to install it, not when it is built.. Solar cells can only use part of the sun’s energy.

How did Solar energy got discovered?. In the 1800s, Antoine-Cesar Becquerel discovered that some materials such as metal give off electrons when exposed to electromagnetic radiation such as light.. Physicist Alexandre Edmund Becquerel, France, discovered it in He demonstrated the use of solar energy by shining sunlight onto an electrode submerged in a conductor to generate an electric current, known as the photovoltaic effect. Antoine Cesar BecquerelAlexandre Edmond Becquerel

How much Solar panels do we use to power our houses?. The appropriate sizing of a solar panel system to supply all a homes electricity needed.. We use about 3,780 kilowatt's of solar a day.. You need to calculate how many solar panel you need. You have to see the size of your house, how much it will cost. How much energy can a regular Solar panel produce each day?. One solar produces 200, 205, 210 or 230 watts a day depending on the size.

Why do some people chose to use Solar energy?. You can make a positive impact on the environment.. You can get good use with your benefits now and in the future.. You can gain energy independently.. The sun is free and everyone can use it.. Solar power reduces global warming.

What object can use Solar power?. Solar air conditioning. Solar lamp. Solar balloon. Solar Pumped laser. Solar charger. Solar calculator. Solar back pack. Solar powered watch. Solar compacting trash can. Solar Tree!!!!!. Solar cell phone charger. Solar chimney. Solar cooker. Solar drier. Solar fan. Solar furnace. Solar inverter. Solar key board

What is the solar power going to be like in the future?. They will improve solar cells and solar panels and some other solar things to make it more efficent. They will make the solar cells smaller to fit more in and it will fit better in smaller panels.

Quiz!!!!. What are the two mans names shown on page 6?. In what condition does the Solar power/panels NOT work?. What is Alexandre Edmund Becquerel? A.Actor B. Physicist C.Scientist. How much energy does one solar panel produce? A.210 B.240 C.170 D.305
