 Recording & Monitoring Prospective Students enrolling  Using PeopleSoft 9.0 to track future Student of Interest (SOI)  Maintaining records, planning and forecasting  End user Training using UPK Software.  Academic Advisement module plays an important role to improve  Quality of Education  Student Self Assessment – GPA, Graduation Plan, etc..  Key Decisions in course work selection for each semester  Degree Audit Key Issues and Challenges

 Implementation based on University’s existing Academic Calendar  Easy migration of Legacy data into PeopleSoft  Student System Modification Policy used in System changes  Legacy system modifications will be limited to mandatory (government) mandated regulation, senior university initiative or audit requirement) requests  Ongoing System Support may be required  Determined after Design Phase  Major business process re-engineering and organizational change will be accomplished by the business and academic units Key Assumptions

 Appropriate resource is required during the entire implementation  Improper planning can impact the existing functionality of current systems  University Full time Staff involved in the implementation during design phase can result in hampering the current active system  Identifying appropriate data migration tools / software’s  Example: EMP, 3 rd Party Tools like Informatica, Business Objects etc.  Risk Assessment  Achieved by Lock Down Agreement approved by University Management  Follow Change Management Process by complying with: State Regulations University Regulation Federal Compliance Audit Risks and Weaknesses

 Proper Planning and Identifying the Scope of the Project  Identifying each module of PeopleSoft Student System  Go-Live implementation made successful by performing “Life as a student” business process  Two key processes must be implemented:  Admissions and Enrollment during start of Calendar school year  Student financial aid must be active by January to permit acceptance of Federal guidelines for the next budget year  Key implementation sequence  Admissions and Recruitment before summer  Student Financial Aid in January  Registration in Spring and Advisement  Disbursement in Fall  Balancing the three constraints: Cost Control, Time Control & Quality Control Successful Implementation
