Values of Wildlife conservation Georgia and Turkey By Lisa Reynolds

Wildlife Conservation importance in Georgia and Turkey I. National Parks II. Bird watching III. Animals and endangered animals IV. Conservation programs V. Landscapes

National Parks The Kuscenneti National Park in Turkey and the Okefenokee National Refuge in Georgia are the largest parks. The parks are restoring habitats and safety of wildlife. Turkey has 33 National Parks. Georgia has 9 Refuge Parks.

Kuscenneti National Park The park has outstanding achievements in wildlife. Rewarded the European Dipolma. The park has outstanding achievements in wildlife. Rewarded the European Dipolma.

the Okefenokee National Refuge “Trembling Earth” is their nickname due to the swamps. Rewarded the Southern Region Director’s Conservation Award. “Trembling Earth” is their nickname due to the swamps. Rewarded the Southern Region Director’s Conservation Award.

Bird watching  Bird watching is Georgia and Turkey’s activity.

 The value of learning about bird watching is a common activity we both have in Georgia and Turkey.  You can learn about all of the different types of birds, and talk to other bird watchers about their experiences.  Ash-throated Flycatcher and Common Eider are birds in Georgia.  Wall creepers and kingfishers are birds in Turkey.  Both of our nations have migrating birds that travel to warmer climates. Bird watching Rome, Georgia and Istanbul, Turkey are the best places for the activity.

Animals and endangered animals

Animals  Even though different animals roam in Georgia and Turkey, we both recognize the importance and the value of animals in our nations. The common interest we have with Turkey is that we have some of the same animals, but they have different animals from us as well.

Bears  Bears are treated with a positive attitude in Turkey.  Attacks are not common in Georgia and Turkey. The Brown Bear in Turkey The Black Bear in Georgia

Fish Freshwater fish are common in Georgia and Turkey. Turkey’s fish dwell in the Black Sea.

Van Cat and Kagal  Van Cat and Kagal are dissimilar animals we do not have in Georgia. Kagal is a rare Shepard dog, while Van Cat is a rare breed of cat.

Endangered animals Saving endangered animals is important to Turkey as well in our own state because we want to help wildlife.

Red-cocked woodpecker The Red-cocked Woodpecker is an endangered animal in Georgia. It is being affected by habitat and loss.

Carretta Turtle The carretta turtle is an endangered animal in Turkey. Their habitats are being replaced with hotel buildings.

Landscapes  The landscapes are a beautiful sight to behold.  Mountains, rivers and swamps are in Georgia and Turkey.  Mountains are in parts of North Georgia.  The Okefenokee Swamp is in Georgia.  Dalyan,Turkey has several swamps.  Plant Flora is in Georgia and Turkey.

Wildlife is changing each day. Wildlife has the exact meaning in Turkey as we do in our state; it refers to mammals, birds, fish, reptiles, and invertebrates that live in the world.
