© 2009 IBM Corporation Event processing capabilities in TXSeries  TXSeries will emit simple, single events  Events emitted by TXSeries could be sent to a “complex event processing” engine: WebSphere Business Events – enabled by TXSeries Events SDK for WBE SupportPac  These events can be an input to a monitor or business manager’s dashboard – via WBE  They can also drive other TXSeries transactions, etc. 13

© 2009 IBM Corporation Using the support pack  Identify the location in code where the event occurs  Create a Channel with containers to provide  Name of the event  Configuration information for how the event is to be emitted  Sets of name value containers to provide  NAME of a data item to be included in the event payload  Value of the DATA item to be included in the event payload  Send the channel over an EXEC CICS LINK statement to the supportPac Program 17
