 Originality named Kailash Sharma, Satyarthi was born on 11 January 1954 in the Vidisha district of central Indian state Madhya Pradesh. He’s religion is Hinduism.  He is a human rights activist.  He works to solve a problem.  Freedom for children because to many children are not in school and too many children are in child labour.

 He is working for children’s rights and children’s education.  He acted to protect the rights of more children from 144 countries.  He gave up his career as a teacher and became secretary general for the Bonded Labor Liberation Front.

 Child Labour is when a child is forced to work.  Every year, 22,000 children die from accidents related to their work. And that doesn’t say anything about the mental and emotional harm of being forced to work long, hard hours or experiencing things that no person should.  There are 218 million child labourers around the world.  Out of 10 working children, seven work in agriculture, two in services and one in industry.

 Love – Kailash shows love for children. He loves to cook sumptuous meals for them.  After a rescue operation the children are obviously very scared. But an hour with Satyarthiji and they become composed and relax.

 Diligence - hard work  He is part of many organization like:  Bonded Labor Liberation Front: group that tries to stop Child Labour.  Global Campaign for Education: tries to get kids education.  Action Aid, Oxfam and Education International: prevent poverty.


