 Zionism o Zionism is the national revival movement of the Jewish people. It holds that the Jews have the right to self-determination in their own national home, and the right to develop their national culture.  Persecution o the subjecting of a race or group of people to cruel or unfair treatment, e.g. because of their ethnic origin or religious beliefs  History o Israel was formed as a modern state in The nation was founded as the result of the Zionist movement, an effort to establish an independent Jewish homeland, which began in the 1890s.  Leaders o President--Shimon Peres Prime Minister--Benjamin Netanyahu

US relationship o Israel and the United States are bound closely by historic and cultural ties as well as by mutual interests. Other Middle Eastern countries are jealous and they think the US is favoring Israel. Israeli Obstacles o Hamas is the ruling party right now and they don’t want Israel to exist. Also the Palestinian president Mahmoud Abbas doesn’t want any further negotiations with the Israelis. Palestinian View o Most people are fine with being a “two state” country, but the political leaders are the ones who are arguing and making a big deal about it. The people just want to be safe. The soldiers and people that the government is sending are the ones bombing the Israeli places and killing Israelis.

 Mahmoud Abbas (Abu Mazen) President of the Palestinian Authority  Ahmed Qurei (Abu Ala) Former Prime Minister, Palestinian National Authority  Mohammed Dahlan Former head, Preventive Security Service

 Palestine has been settled in for tens of thousands of years  It was formed in 8000 B.C.

 Terrorism is the systematic use of terror especially as a means of coercion.  Both sides have it Hammas from Palestine and Lehi is the one from Israel. It happen’s almost every day.

 Lehi : Zionist group founded by Avraham ("Yair") Stern in the British Mandate of Palestine. Aim was forcibly evicting the British authorities from Palestine and allowing unrestricted immigration of Jews.  Hammas is a Palestinian Islamist political party that governs the Gaza Strip. Hamas also has a military wing, the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades. The European Union, the United States, Canada, \ Israel and Japan classify Hamas as a terrorist organization.

 Ideology and motivation influence the objectives of terrorist operations, especially regarding the casualty rate. Acts of violence are used to achieve a specific political aim. What terrorist obstacles are standing in the way of a peace settlement?  Lehi and Hammas they wouldn’t stop fighting they both want destruction and while they are around it will never stop!

 The Middle East has been the focus of conflict for hundreds of years; and currently Israeli-Palestinian relations are dangerously unstable. As a result of religious and cultural differences, Jews and Arabs battle each other in an attempt to solidify their own sovereignty. As a result of these unsettling times the President of the United States of America has assembled a Middle East Advisory Committee to inform him on the Arab-Israeli conflict. You have been chosen as a member of this committee, and it is your job to assume one of the assigned roles and to report to the President the pertinent information that will help him better understand the nature of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and to conclude whether or not a peace plan is resolvable. Do not take this job lightly; the security of the world depends on a resolution.

 Make a wall to divide the four areas  They will be happy because they have their holy land and no one can take it  They will be able to pray without concern

 The people that are already living there will forced out and land will bought for them somewhere else.  People will not be able to move back without permission of the government.
