StarCraft 2  RTS (Real time strategy) Set in the future on alien and colonized worlds.  Visually the game looks great while playing with great attention to detail with both the in-game cut scenes and games trailers looking like something out of a film.  Gameplay can be both fast or slow paced depending on skill level, races, maps and units.  Story continues on from StarCraft 1 but also allows new players to jump right in. Content  3 Playable races which all have totally different units from one another which changes how you must start each game and how you play the rest of the game.  Different units have different purposes meaning you have to adapt quickly to survive and plan ahead.  Rich story mixed in with great gameplay sucks you in and fully immerses you meaning you could play for hours.  eSports events which puts players against each other for cash prizes. Most recent was Blizzcon 2014 championship

World of Warcraft  MMORPG (Massively multiplayer online role-playing game) With a 10 million subscriber base as of Mid November  10 Years old on the 21 st and still has updates, expansions and loads of people still playing the game  Visually the game doesn’t look that bad despite how big and how old the game is. Models and textures also get updated every once in a while to make the game look a little fresh.  30+ Servers/Realms house at least 2500 people being on at the same time and there are different server types.  Very lore rich where most of the information can be found in- game or told in the old Warcraft RTS games. Content  13 Playable races mixed with 11 different classes means you can find a play style that suits you and how you want to play or you can just something totally random and just go with it.  Currently up to 100 levels Which can be achieved by completing quests, going into dungeons/raids with other people or going into battlegrounds which is the games PvP side  Battle pets, A Pokémon like feature which allows you to collect, trade and battle hundreds of different creatures in the world of Azeroth, Outland and Draenor.  Professions which gives your character more of a defining feature as you can learn new skills and use these skills to your advantage or to make a profit in the in-game auction house.

What makes StarCraft 2 great for me  RTS with a great story line and isn’t a kill all situation.  Enough units to play the game in a different style each time or try new tactics.  Fair multiplayer system that gives people skill sets.  Diverse races making each game against a different race new and interesting

What makes WoW great for me.  Not forced to do anything in game after I’ve completed the starter zone for my race and leveled up past level 10.  Don’t have to see something all the way through meaning I can change what I’m doing whenever.  Tasks can take me a few minutes to complete or a few hours to get a task done such as leveling up a profession.  Dungeons and Raids give more of a social aspect along with different environments and dungeon/raid bosses to deal with.
