 Helps the community  Makes the community more familiar with the athletes and more willing to support the sports teams  Students gain hands-on experience  Create a professional network of people who can help with jobs, etc in the future

 We helped bathe the dogs  We walked them and played with them  Gave puppies and a chick their vaccines  Played with the Cats

 Our softball team helped with setting up the blood drive  We also recruited people to give blood  We also gave our own blood

 Valdosta State University Literacy kicked off Blazing Through Books this fall  We worked with Valdosta area children age K-5  We met Mondays and Wednesdays to help them with their reading

 Annual event hosted by the Valdosta State University Baseball and Softball team  Teach children the basic fundamentals of throwing, catching, hitting and sliding  Signed autographs

 Became familiar with more members of the community  Helped those in need  I Got hands on experience  I Got to spend time with kids
