Presentation transcript:

Adults listen to romantic music, write love letters to each other, and eat dinners at restaurants.

School children sign Valentine's Day cards and bring them to school for their classmates.

It’s nice to have a friend like you! I’ll tell you what I’m going to do. Because you make me so fine, I’ll take you for my Valentine!

They decorate paper mailbox during art class to hold their cards.

*** Every day I come to school, I spend a lot of time Learning all the things you teach, Which is the reason I’m sending you this Valentine; It’s meant to let you know I’m happy you’re my teacher And I want to tell you so! Happy Valentine’s Day !

My mistress' eyes are nothing like the sun; Coral is far more red than her lips' red; If snow be white, why then her breasts are dun; If hairs be wires, black wires grow on her head. I have seen roses damask'd, red and white, But no such roses see I in her cheeks; And in some perfumes is there more delight Than in the breath that from my mistress reeks. I love to hear her speak, yet well I know That music hath a far more pleasing sound; I grant I never saw a goddess go; My mistress, when she walks, treads on the ground: And yet, by heaven, I think my love as rare As any she belied with false compare.
