How do we say thank you? Through prayer and giving thanks to Him Through our deeds and actions to others Through the way we raise our children Through our finances and our priorities Through the way we treat our spouses Through the time we spend with Him

Seven Steps to Thankful Worship of a Holy God 1.Consider the holiness of God 2.Praise Him for His love and mercy 3.Confess your sins before Him 4.Start each day fresh and new 5.Give honor to God for your new beginnings 6.Worship expectantly 7.Live a thankful life through selfless service

1. Consider the holiness of God Psalm 46:1-10 – “Be still and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations.” Proverbs 19:23 – “The fear of the Lord leads to life, then one rests content, untouched by trouble.”

2. Praise Him for His love and mercy Ephesians 2:4-5 – “But because of His great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in our transgressions – it is by grace you have been saved.” James 5:11 – “The Lord is full of compassion and mercy.”

3. Confess your sins before Him 1 John 1:6-10 – “If we confess our sins he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” James 5:16 – “Therefore confess your sins to one another and pray for each other so that you may be healed.”

4. Start each day fresh and new Psalm 51:10-13 – “Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.”

5. Give honor to God for your new beginnings Psalm 23:1-3 – “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures, and leads me beside quiet water, he restores my soul.” Isaiah 40:29-31 – “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak… Those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles, they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”

6. Worship expectantly Malachi 3:10 – “Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse… Test me in this and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room for it.” Matthew 7:7 – “Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”

7. Live a thankful life through selfless service Isaiah 6:8 – “Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?’ And I said, ‘Here am I. Send me.”

My Thanksgiving Psalm To live a thankful life it is important that we pause and praise God with our sincere words of thanks This week, write a prayer to God, thanking Him for His faithfulness and provision for you and your family

Don’t miss an opportunity! Don’t miss any opportunities to thank God for even the little things this week Sometimes we take for granted the simplest of things and give ourselves credit for what we have and where we are – Don’t Do It!
