Copyright is.... To copyright something is to basically put a seal on the work stating it is your Work. People can use your copyrighted work but they need permission from the creator. People can also steal copyrighted material and this can result in a lot of legal trouble.

Copyright do's and dont's Do's Ask permission before using copyrighted material When you make material of your own, you should always copyright it. Always buy songs and videos on a proper website like itunes. Dont get free music and videos on sharing websites that don't give credit to the composer. Dont's Do not use material from other people without permision. Do not get free music, always buy music from websites that give credit to the composer.

Copyrighted Music Music needs to be bought at a website that supports the composer of the song and gives them money. Sites like limewire are music sharing websites where people can obtain free music, they are also illegal.

Copyrighting Art If you want to use art created by another person you must ask the creator for permission before using the material. Art can be copyrighted the same way as other material. If you dont copyright your art it can be used by anyone.
