Dance Drama On the following slides you will find the movement terms associated with Dance Drama. It is important to learn and understand these. There are also examples of how to practically create these movement terms. Remember to also look back over the movement revision as many of those terms are also used in Dance Drama. Dance Drama A Drama presented through dance moves Created by L McCarry

Dance Drama Locomotion: The travelling over the floor space in different ways. (e.g. stepping, running, hopping, skipping, gliding etc.) Created by L McCarry

Dance Drama Elevation: The height of a movement (e.g. hop, skip, jump or leap.) Created by L McCarry

Dance Drama Gesture: The movement of the head, hand, arms and the legs. Created by L McCarry

Dance Drama Movement patterns can be grouped into three types : Rising and sinking (e.g. low and high) Created by L McCarry
