Slide 1 of 9 Presenting 24x7 Scheduler The art of computer automation Press PageDown key or click to advance

Slide 2 of 9 24x7 Scheduler Schedule and automate everything ! 24x7 reliable job scheduling and automation tools Complete job audit tracking, logging, and reporting Real-time job monitoring Complete set of job triggers Powerful alert and automatic notification features 70+ quick-start job templates Advanced networking features and distributed job processing Job Automation scripting Language (JAL) for complex automation tasks Built-in support for all major database systems and ODBC API and extensions for other systems much more...

Slide 3 of 9 24x7 Scheduler Workstation, Server, Network, and Web Automation Supported configurations: Single job processor instance running on standalone computer (standalone job processing) Centralized job processor executing jobs on the same computer or remote computers running 24x7 Remote Agents (distributed job processing) Centralized job processor executing scheduled jobs and also executing on- demand jobs submitted by users using 24x7 Remote Control (client-server job processing) Web based job submission and control solutions utilizing 24x7 COM or Java interface (Web server/24x7 server job processing, thin clients) Combination of any configurations listed above (custom configuration)

Slide 4 of 9 24x7 Scheduler Anything can be automated ! 24x7 Scheduler provides virtually unlimited possibilities for automating various processes - from simple automations like scheduled program start/stop to complex automations involving multiple computers, databases, Internet and file operation, etc job templates can be used to quickly automate most common tasks. 24x7 Scheduler provides native drivers and direct support for all major database systems. No other software is needed to perform common database operations such as executing stored procedures and running various SQL scripts. 24x7 Scheduler also features an embedded Job Automation scripting Language (JAL) that can be used for scheduling and automating almost anything: batch processes, interactive programs, backups, FTP, HTTP, SQL, RAS, DDE, , File replication, Zip, NT services, and more...

Slide 5 of 9 24x7 Scheduler Anything can be scheduled ! 24x7 Scheduler supports powerful job triggers that allow you to schedule and automate nearly anything. Job triggers can be setup using any of the following dependencies: Various date and time dependencies based on calendar or business days File dependencies such as existence or non existence of certain files Directory dependencies such as file changes Process dependencies such as existence or non existence of certain operation system processes dependencies such as arrival of certain messages System dependencies such as system start up, system shutdown, user log off, or user idle time Job dependencies such as success or failure of other jobs

Slide 6 of 9 24x7 Scheduler Be notified ! Be in control ! 24x7 Scheduler has outstanding features for job error checking, status logging and audit tracking. Basically, every job and scheduler activity can be logged. There are different logging options providing maximum flexibility and convenience for job monitoring, auditing and troubleshooting. Logs very from low level 24x7 component communication tracing to high level HTML based reports for job status and audit tracking. 24x7 Scheduler features automatic job owner notification actions such as sending and pager messages, executing database command that update corporate logs, triggering another “fix it” job, and so on. The Job Wizard lets you configure when and what notifications to perform. For example, an automatic message can be send to a job owner whenever a job fails.

Slide 7 of 9 24x7 Scheduler Advanced and user-friendly GUI New jobs can be created or existing jobs can be modified using powerful Job Wizards. Jobs are organized in convenient logical groups represented by job folders much like files are organized in directories. Every job is assigned a graphical icon that matches the icon of the scheduled process. The Job Explorer supports job drag-and-drop, context menus and helps, in-place job logs and property reports, other intuitive actions. Drag-drop-and-draw diagramming tools let users visually design job interdependencies. Database jobs containing SQL commands and script jobs containing JAL commands can be developed using modern script editor and debugger with syntax highlighting, code assistants, breakpoints, watches and more... 24x7 Scheduler features a powerful but simple to use graphic user interface (GUI) for designing, linking, monitoring, running, debugging and troubleshooting jobs. This GUI is designed so even non-technical people can use it to create advanced automation solutions.

Slide 8 of 9 24x7 Scheduler Easy integration In addition to providing tools and methods for building extremely powerful autonomous automation systems, 24x7 Scheduler also supports several open interfaces that allow easy integration with a wide variety of other software package. The following Interfaces and APIs are supported: DOS command line interface - can be used both interactively and by programs that can execute Operation System commands; provides access to local 24x7 Scheduler. DDE interface - can be used by many Windows programs; provides access to local 24x7 Scheduler. OLE/COM+ interface - can be used by all major Windows programs; can be also used in applets running in a Web browser as well as it can be used in ASP pages on a Web server; provides access to local and remote 24x7 Scheduler servers. Java interface - can be used by standalone Java programs, applets running in a Web browser and also servlets running on a Web server; provides access to local and remote 24x7 Scheduler servers.
