4 Bulgarian rose oil  Bulgaria is one of the biggest and most important producers of rose oil in the world.  “The liquid gold" of Bulgaria.  The Bulgarian rose oil is the most expensive one – over Eur/kg.

5 Bulgarian rose oil - History  Rose oil production in Bulgaria started in 17 th c.  The rose industry was declared a monopoly of the state. The state-owned company “Bulgarska Roza” was established for the purposes of rose oil production and marketing.  Nowadays – over 20 producers of rose oil.

6 Bulgarian rose oil - Production  Rose oil is extracted from the oil-bearing Rosa Damascena through steam distillation.  The production of 1 kg of rose oil requires kg of rose petals.  The picking season lasts from May to June.  The unique qualities of the Bulgarian rose oil are due to the mild continental climate and favorable soil in the Rose valley.

8  Bulgarian yoghurt is an original national product, made by bacterial fermentation of milk.  Contains Lactobacillus bulgaricus – a bacteria present only in Bulgaria which gives it its unique characteristics. It has a homogenous structure and a sour taste.

9 Bulgarian yoghurt  The unique bacteria was found in  The beginning of the industrial production of Bulgarian yoghurt was in  Nowadays, around 250 milk producers.  Bulgarian yoghurt is produced under Bulgarian license in Japan, Germany, Switzerland, Netherlands, Cyprus, Finland, the Philippines, France, Austria.  The Bulgarian yoghurt is a symbol of health and longevity!

11 Well-known marks for cigarettes  The Bulgarian tobacco company “Bulgartabac Holding Group” is one of the leading cigarette manufacturers in Central and Eastern Europe;  covers 85% of the domestic cigarette market;  established in 1947;  a public company;  produces over 50 cigarette brands;  includes 22 joint-stock subsidiary companies.
