FACTS  Before the city was called Paris, the city was called Lutetia during the sixth century.  Paris is the capital of France, which happens to be the largest country of Europe.  Paris is also a world capital city of fashion and shopping. 2

CLIMATE  The summers in Paris are warm and the winters are chilly.  However, it’s rarely below freezing or any snowfall.  The average temperature hovers around 55 degrees Fahrenheit. And humidity is rarely high. 3

CULTURE  Paris holds many museums, theaters, and opera houses that show a love of art and music.  The exotic cuisines and delicacies from every part of the country can be found in Paris.  Paris is also known for its expensive, luxurious living, and latest fashion trends. 5

TOURISM  Paris is well-known as the most romantic city in the world and is immensely popular among couples.  Paris, France is the most favorite locations among tourists.  Paris brings in an average of 45 million people every year. 6
