You will create an encyclopedia that describes and gives important facts of the 5 major world religions: – Monday: Hinduism – Tuesday: Buddhism – Wednesday: Judaism – Thursday: Christianity – Friday: Islam

World Religions Encyclopedia For each religion, you must include the following information: – Demographics # of followers, % of world population – Geography Where did the religion begin and spread to? Must include a map – Beliefs Describe the main beliefs and practices of the religion – Research your own answers Describe traditions, holidays, prayers, and god(s) List your sources!

Siddhartha becomes Buddha After seeing suffering, he dedicated his life to ending it As he was meditating, he was able to understand the whole universe, the end of suffering, and the way to inner peace At this moment he became the Buddha, which means “The Awakened One”
