Do Not Use: –A screwdriver as a chisel –A 2x4 or the “butt” of a drill as a hammer –A bucket or a chair as a ladder Use The Right Tool For The Job

Inspect Tools For Damage  Inspect wrenches for sprung jaws  Inspect chisels and wedges for mushroomed heads  Check for loose, cracked or splintered handles (tools with taped handles may be hiding cracks) Crack

Inspect Tools For Damage Check for visible wear and tear Are all guards in place? Are handles free of splits and cracks? Are electric tools double-insulated or properly grounded? (GFCI’s) Are cutting edges sharp? (saw blades, bits, etc…) Inspect before use

Guarding Machine guards must protect the operator and others from:  Point of operation  In-running nip points  Rotating parts  Flying chips and sparks
