Employers’ thoughts on employability:- UK Commission for Employment and Skills comparison of 20 published definitions; common factors:- * personal communication skills * using numbers, words and technology * team-working * customer care * having a positive approach * ready to participate * accepting of new ideas * accepting of constructive criticism Recruitment company, Reed, surveyed 800 companies to find their key staff qualities: * honesty and trustworthiness, * commitment, * adaptability, * accountability; 1212 of 1263 employers agreed that the desired mindset was preferable to possessing the complete skill-set.
