About Benét Laboratories Benét Laboratories, established in 1962, is co-located at the Army’s large caliber cannon manufacturing center at Watervliet Arsenal in upstate New York. As a proud member of the Federal Laboratory Consortium, Ben é t Laboratories is organizationally attached to the Weapon Software and Engineering Center of the US Army Armaments Research, Development, and Engineering Center (ARDEC) at Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey. Benét Laboratories is responsible for the research, design, development, producibility, and field support for the Army’s large caliber cannons. Previously known as the Research and Engineering Division of Watervliet Arsenal, Benét Laboratories’ cannons have been produced at Watervliet Arsenal since 1887.

Continue on Rt. 32 South for ¼ mile, bear right at light; South Gate is on the right. From the South: NYS Thruway to Exit 23, 787 North. 787 North to Exit 8, the Green Island 23 rd St Exit. Left off exit to first light, left at light onto Broadway. Continue on Broadway for 1 mile; bear right at light; South Gate is on the right. From the West: NYS Thruway to Exit 24, 87 North to Exit 5, Rt. 155 East. Stay on Rt.155 to the end, joins with Rt. 32 South. Rt. 32 turns right at light onto Broadway.
