2 doc.: IEEE 802.11-03/277R0 Submission April 2003 Cathy Roach, AMDSlide 2 Welcome to Austin!  You will need to fly into Austin Bergstrom International Airport better known as ABIA  A list of hotels is on slide 7  A list of restaurants is on slide 11  Info about Austin’s famed 6 th street is on slide 12  Recommend you rent a car as cab fare from ABIA to the Arboretum area will cost about $45.  If you don’t want to rent a car, cabs are plentiful at ABIA right outside the baggage pick up area. If you take a cab you might want to stay at the Renaissance Hotel which is across the street from AMD (see slide 7 for details)

Then follow directions on next page. or If you are staying downtown take Hwy 71 West to IH-35 North. Travel North approx 5 miles to the downtown area just past the river or better known as Town Lake. To get to AMD from the downtown area take IH-35 North to US 183. Go north on US 183 about 5 miles and follow directions on next page. Directions to AMD-Arboretum (Personal Connectivity Solutions)

Capital of Texas Hwy/TX 360 Loop S. In less than ¼ mile, turn right onto Arboretum Blvd. (This will be your first right.) Travel up the hill. You will see Z-Tejas and Eddie V’s entrance on your left. Watch out for the ducks! Travel to the next drive and turn left. You will see the building directly in front of you. The AMD-Arboretum is a 4 story V-shaped building. Park in the parking garage – please do not park in the guest parking in front of the building. Take the elevator to the 4 th floor reception area. Exit airport onto US Hwy 71 West. 2. Merge onto US-183 N. Take 183 across town (approx 15-20 miles). 3. Take the TX-1-Loop N/ Mopac Blvd. North exit. 4. Stay on access road to Braker Lane. 5. Turn left on Braker and look for the sign for Hampton Inn. 6. Hampton Inn will be on your immediate right. Homewood Suites is located directly behind the Hampton Inn.

Austin is the Live Music Capital of the World and just recently held the South by Southwest Music Festival with 1,000+ bands and numerous record company representatives in attendance. Sorry you missed this wonderful festival but you can still hear and see bands perform live in many different venues on 6 th street playing everything from rock to country and everything in-between.
