How do you compare and order whole numbers? Which is greater: 28,748 or 28,527? Line up the digits by place value. 28,748 28,527 Look at the digits from left to right. Find the first place where the digits are different. The 2’s are the same, 8’s are the same, the 7 and 5 are different. Compare the values of the digits.
