Adding More Resource Assignments Add Resources to a Task When you assign a resource to a task, the result is work Work is the total amount of effort a resource or resources will spend to complete a task Project calculates work using a scheduling formula Duration  Units = Work

Adding More Resource Assignments Add Resources to a Task (cont.) With effort-driven scheduling, the duration of a task increases or decreases as you remove or assign resources to a task  Work does not change  Project can adjust successor tasks based on new task durations

You have already started to define resource assignments for tasks in your plan  You now want to assign additional resources to one or more of these tasks  Effort-driven scheduling causes duration to be adjusted when you add resources
