He worked as an illustrator for several magazines.  The 1960s was an extremely prolific decade for Warhol. Images from popular culture, Warhol created many paintings that remain icons of 20th-century art, such as the Campbell's Soup Cans, Disasters and Marilyns.  At the start of the 1970s, Warhol began publishing Interview magazine. Works created in this decade include Maos, Skulls, Hammer and Sickles, Torsos and Shadows and many commissioned portraits. Warhol exhibited his work extensively in museums and galleries around the world.  In 1982 he created cable television show "Andy Warhol's TV" and "Andy Warhol's Fifteen Minutes" for MTV in  Andy Warhol died February 22, 1987.

Works Works Paintings By the beginning of the 1960s, Warhol was a very successful commercial illustrator. Warhol tried to exhibit some of his drawings. He began to rethink the relationship between his commercial work and the rest of his art. Instead of treating these things as opposites, he merged them, and began to take commercial and popular culture more explicitly as his topic. He loved celebrities, so he painted them as well. Warhol produced both comic and serious works; his subject could be a soup can or an electric chair. Warhol's The Last Supper cycle, a deeply religious body of work, was his last series, possibly his largest and "arguably his greatest". It is also the largest series of religious works by any U.S. artist.

Films Warhol worked across a wide range of media - painting, photography, drawing, and sculpture. In addition, he was a highly prolific filmmaker. Between 1963 and and 1968, he made more than sixty films. Popular Warhol´s films: -Sleep (1963) -Kiss (1963) "Everyone will be famous -Henry in bathroom (1963) for 15 minutes“ -Batman Dracula (1964) (Andy Warhol) -Dinner At Daley´s (1964) -Pause (1964) -Lips (1964) -Bitch (1965) -Prison (1965) -Vibrations (1967) -Fight (1975) Music Warhol designed the cover art for The Rolling Stones albums Sticky Fingers (1971) and Love You Live (1977), Warhol was commissioned to do several portraits of the band's frontman Mick Jagger while in 1982, he designed the album cover for the Diana Ross album Silk Electric.

Museums Two museums are dedicated to Andy Warhol. The Andy Warhol Museum, one of the Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh, is located at 117 Sandusky Street in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. It is the largest American art museum dedicated to a single artist, holding more than 12,000 works by the artist himself. The other museum is the Andy Warhol Museum of Modern Art, established in 1991 by Andy's brother John Warhola, the Slovak Ministry of Culture, and the Warhol Foundation in New York. It is located in the small town of Medzilaborce, Slovakia. Andy's parents were born 15 kilometers away in the village of Miková. The museum houses several originals donated mainly by the Andy Warhol Foundation in New York and also personal items donated by Warhol's relatives.
