5 – JESUS TEACHES ME TO THANK HIM Jesus went to different cities to preach about the KINGDOM of HEAVEN THE 10 LEPERS (Luke 17:11-19)

At a village: “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” At a village: “Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!” They were 10 lepers … with skin disease – they had to live separately from everyone else! Jesus loved them: “Go, show yourselves to the priests” Jesus loved them: “Go, show yourselves to the priests”WHY? To be declared “CLEAN” and return to their families To be declared “CLEAN” and return to their families WHO ARE THESE MEN?

BUT … Most of them did not do a very important thing: Most of them did not do a very important thing: THANK GOD! EXCEPT… ONE! 1 came back, knelt at Jesus’ feet and said: “THANK YOU”! 1 came back, knelt at Jesus’ feet and said: “THANK YOU”! WHERE WERE THE OTHER 9?

WHY THE 9 LEPERS DIDN’T THANK GOD … May May be they think that because Jesus is God, He knows they are thankful – they don’t need to say it They They made excuses: Jesus only told us to go to the priests and nothing else have to share the good news with so many others, they will thank God later Other Other excuses …

DON’T YOU BE LIKE THEM! Run back to God to thank Him right away! Run back to God to thank Him right away!
