ALICE 3D PROGRAM WORKSHOP

ALICE & MATHEMATICS Using Alice in Mathematics Using 3D Graphics to add in the understanding of math concepts Retain concepts learned Create interesting screen Incorporate math problems in 3D World Create user response Create “Work Shown” graphic for user Make it Fun!

3D PROJECT RULES Create a background screen first Develop three to five mathematic problems Show steps in solving problems Incorporate math problems and equations Show work on math problems Have a consistent flow on animation project

REVIEW How can this 3D program help students in Math, English, Science, and Social Studies? Can this 3D program add students in understand complex mathematic concepts? How far can you push this software? What are the limitation of the software? How can you overcome these limitations? How can you use this program and integrate it with STAR and EOC? How can the program foster students into being interested in engineering, architecture, and computer science.

UNDERSTANDING CODE Creating Questions User Response Using different type methods to creating animations Developing different methods for user response Using creative screens, objects, and movement to keep user motivated in program
