Deep oceans by Kyle Danakody

ADAPTATIONS SOME FISH ADAPT WHEN SAY A SHARK IS COMING.MOST FISH WILL EITHER HIDE OR COUMOUFLAGE INTO IT’S SOUROUNDIGS.ANOTHER WAY FISH ADAPT IS BREATHIING TROUGH THERE GILLS.

THIS IS THE “DEEP SEA FOOD CHAIN”.IF THERE WAS A MISSING LINK,ALL THE ANIMALS THAT EAT THAT LINK WOULD DISAPEAR.THUS, THE ANIMALS THAT THAT LINK EATS WOULD GO OUT OF CONTROL.

DID YOU KNOW?... -the ocean occupies 71 % of our surface -the average depth of ocean is more than 2.5 miles -more than 90% of habitats exists in the deep sea

The oceans THESE ARE ALL THE OCEANS ON OUR PLANET: -ATLANTIC -PACIFIC -ARCTIC -INDIAN

IN “SLIDE 4”,I WILL TALK ABOUT WHAT THE HABITAT IS LIKE. MANY ANIMALS AND PLANTS LIVE IN THE OCEAN. BUT WHAT IS A HABITAT? A HABITAT IS CAUSED BY PHYSICAL FACTORS LIKE LAND, ROCK, TEMPERATURE AND RAINFALL. THE OCEAN HABITAT IS BUILT BY : CURRENTS TIDES TSUNAMIS TEMPERATURE WIND WAVE ACTION SALINITY - SALT

HERE ARE SOME INTERESTING PLANTS; PLANTS THAT FLOAT FREELY ON THE WATER PLANTS THAT ARE ROOTED TO THE FLOOR OF THE OCEAN EXAMPLES ARE : PHYTOPLANKTON, KELP AND SEAWEED

FISHERIES THE SEA PROVIDES THE BIGGEST SOURCE OF PROTEIN IN THE WORLD LARGEST NUMBER OF FISH IS LOCATED ON THE SOUTHERN HEMISPHERE

THESE ARE SOME OF FISHES THAT ARE ENDANGERED : TUNA SALMON HADDOCK HALIBUT COD

HUMAN INTERFERENCE HERE ARE SOME WAYS THAT HUMANS CAN PULLOUT. HUMANS CAN POULOUT THE OCEAN ALOT. OVER FISHING OIL SPILLS – A SINGLE QUART CAN CONTIMINATE 2 MILLION GALLONS OF WATER ILLEGAL LONGLINE FISHING GARBAGE AND WASTE DISPOSAL

HABITAT DESTRUCTION CAN HARM PLANTS AND ANIMALS AND THE SEA LEVEL HAS BEEN RISING 4-10 INCHES OVER THE PAST 100 YEARS. CLIMATE CHANGE WILL AFFECT BOTH SEA LIVES AND HUMANS BUT HURRICANE AND TYPHOONS WILL AFFECT HABITATS AS WELL. BUT WE CAN CONTROL HUMAN DAMAGE ALTHOUGH WE CAN’T HELP MOTHER NATURE WE CAN MAKE A CHANGE-DON’T POLLUTE,DON’T OVER FISH,AND BE CONSIDERATE. STUDIES SHOW THAT PROTECTING CRITICAL MARINE HABITATS CAN INCREASE FISH SIZE QUANTITY.
