ARTICLE 15 Energy Savings Programs Stabilization Fund

Move to appropriate the sum of $26,000 to be placed in the Energy Savings Programs Stabilization Fund established under Article 25 of the 2014 Annual Town Meeting, for the purpose of acquiring, installing or otherwise implementing energy saving capital projects; towards the purchase, lease or debt service payments for said items or programs classified as such; and to meet this appropriation, $13,000 to be transferred from Art. 4, FY15 Budget 300: Sudbury Public Schools: Net and $13,000 transferred from Article 4, FY15 Budget 400: Public Works.

Energy Savings Stabilization Fund Established last year under M.G.L. Ch.40, Section 5B. Purpose: – Allow capture of benefit – Provide visibility – Use for special projects – Relieve pressure on capital budget Requires 2/3 vote

Sudbury Solar Started December 16, ,400,000 kWh to date $212,000 in benefit to date – After cost of electricity generated $160,000 annual benefit Produces a favorable variance on utility account – Selected meter accounts – 50/50 Town/School – Through March 2015
