Keith Haring 6 th Grade Wire Sculptures

Keith Haring Born in 1959 and died in Initially seen as a graffiti artist who used vacant advertising boards in New York in the early 1980s as his canvas. His images have conspicuous energy and bold colors and lines. He opened his own retail stores including Wham Bam in Miami and Pop Shop in New York He focused his work on many political messages including domestic violence, child abuse and AIDS awareness.

Haring’s Art Style Haring’s inspiration came from punk and rap music at the East Village Club scene, break dancing and graffiti His images conveyed his interest in graphic design and simplified figurative forms.
