Keith Haring was born the 4th of May, 1958 in Reading, Pennsylvania, United States of America.
As a child, Haring was fascinated by the cartoon art of Walt Disney. He spent many hours drawing with his father, an engineer whose hobby was cartooning.
Growing up, Keith wasn’t interested in most of the art he saw at the galleries.

During the 1980’s Keith began his career in art in the New York underground as a subway artist. He painted graffiti on the walls and buildings of New York City.

Haring produced a series of compositions depicting dancing figures, including people and dancing dogs!
