Electricity Wiring Diagrams

Objectives Determine the type of wire needed for circuits with on a handout with 80% accuracy. List the rules for wiring a single pole and three way switch with 100% accuracy. Demonstrate how to wire a variety of circuits on a handout with 90% accuracy. Explain the role of the National Electric Code on a handout with 80% accuracy.

Reasons to Learn Why do we need to know how to diagram an electrical circuit? Why are there various types of circuits in a house?

Questions to Answer What are some different types of circuits in a house? What do we need to know before we can diagram a circuit? What is an advantage of diagraming a circuit? What are some rules for diagraming a circuit? How do you choose the correct wire?

National Electric Code List of standards for the safe wiring of electricity. Can be adopted by state or local governments. Important because it holds people accountable for their work. Keeps people safe.
