Discrimination in my Career Field

Project Description  You will research current statistics about job discrimination in our dream jobs, and we will interview a professional in a job related to our career fields.  To show our findings and interviewees’ responses, we will design a prezi.  You will then present your personalized prezi to our own Advisory class to be voted on and the top presentations will be shared with parents and professionals in the Los Angeles community.

Naviance Task  You completed one survey about your strengths but now you will do one that will be based on career clusters and your interests to give you more options.  Log into your Naviance account at  Click on the tab “About me”  Click on Cluster Finder  On the next page click on “Lets Begin”  Answer all the questions based on your first instinct. There are no right or wrong answers.

Instructions Continued  After you have answered all of the questions you will get your results page.  Once you get your results page click on “View Matching Occupation List”  Take time to go through the different careers. If there is one that is you find interesting make sure to click on “Add this pathway to my list”  Afterwards, click on the tab “Careers” and under the label “Explore Careers” click on “Favorite Career Cluster” to get the full list of careers you chose.  You will need to choose one that you will base your project on.

Set up Prezi Account  Go to and click on GET STARTEDwww.prezi.com  Click on “Continue with Public Presentation”  Enter your information First and Last name. and password.  Please make sure to write down your log-in information.  For now this is all you need to do with this, however as the weeks go on and you do your research you will be adding to your presentation.
