Presentation transcript:

My Hatchet Survival Kit By Cal Forsman Book By Gary Paulson

)Survival Guide I will want a survival guide as number 1 in my survival kit because I will read it and immediately know what to do stranded in the woods. It will teach me how make shelter, fire, and how to find food.

)Pocket Knife A pocket knife would definitely be my second item. I could make weapons, protect myself ,cut food like fish and skin animals for clothing or a blanket for warmth.

)Fishing Pole I would like fishing pole as my 3rd item so I can catch fish for food. I imagine it would be hard to spear fish always having to lounge at the right time and the light making fish look like there in another spot. It needs to be a pull apart one so it could fit in my bag

)Wrist Rocket A wrist rocket is better than a gun to me because a gun needs bullets and a wrist rocket doesn't need bullets. Remember how I said I want a pocket knife to skin animals well I'll kill them with my wrist rocket by shooting them with a rock or something else that’s hard.

)Shovel I’ll need a shovel to dig a shelter and dig pits to trap and kill animals for food and cloth. And if I’m confronted with a bear or wolf I can whack it with it to kill easier. So that’s why I would drag the shovel around in the wilderness even how I know it will add extra weight in my survival kit.

)matches Matches would be nice in any survival kit for making fire to scare away predators and create warmth. Fire can cook food and boil/clean water for drinking.

)First Aid kit First Aid kits should always be in a survival kit to heel any injury you get. If I had a wound I could heel it. I could use some gauze to burn for fire as a fire starter to light.

)Emergency Transmitter I could call a rescue plane it’s something like a cell phone. It has a G P S installed so you know were you are and it also sends a tracker to the rescue plane of were you are so you can be rescued in little bit of time
