How Holy Moly works: Kids encounter the Bible story through an animated Bible story retelling. Kids relate the Bible stories to themselves and to each other. Through the pages of the Holy Moly Bible Storybooks and Connect Bible, kids read the story again as a way to ground the lesson in scripture. Creativity flows as kids complete activities that reinforce the story they’ve just learned. The individual Bible stories presented in each Holy Moly lesson provide a good foundation for Connect. View the full scope & sequence online: holymoly.wearesparkhouse.org holymoly.wearesparkhouse.org

Preteens watch a video that blends witty, slap-stick humor and solid theology to introduce the session theme. Kids explore an Anchor Text that sets up the lesson’s theme, along with up to 3 Supporting Texts to see how that theme plays out in the Bible. As they explore the text, kids highlight, underline, sketch on, search through, and draw in the pages of the Connect Bible. After exploring the text and themes in the Bible, kids relate the themes to their own lives through project-style activities included in the Connect Learner Sheets. How Connect works:

How re:form works: Animated short videos frame the tough theological questions that youth really ask, like “Why does God let bad things happen?” or “Can I be a Christian without going to church?” The hands-on Anti-Workbooks give youth space to wrestle with the questions presented in the videos. Each is full of activity ideas including drawing, interviews, games, and even an occasional thumb war. Youth share what they’ve created with their Anti-Workbooks and discuss their points of view related to the session questions. EncounterEngageRespond Use Connect with your preteens and they’ll have a solid biblical foundation to respond to theological questions presented in re:form.
