Sample Regulatory Language for NCERS Approval Pennsylvania Requirements. (a) A licensee shall complete at least 48 clock hours during the preceding biennial period. (b) Of the 48 hours required, the following applies: (1) At least 24 hours shall be taken in lecture or computer interactive courses approved by NAB or the Board.

Sample Regulatory Language for NCERS Approval Pennsylvania (2) Up to 24 clock hours may be taken through college or university courses, including distance learning, approved by NAB or the Board. (3) A maximum of 12 clock hours may be taken in the following categories: (i) Individual study using NAB or Board approved correspondence courses.

Sample Regulatory Language for NCERS Approval Pennsylvania (ii) Serving as an instructor of a NAB or Board approved continuing education program or a college or university course. Instructors may earn 1 clock hour for each hour of instruction up to 12 clock hours.

Sample Regulatory Language for NCERS Approval California –In 1981, the National Association of Boards of Examiners for Nursing Home Administrators (NAB) developed the National Continuing Education Review Services (NCERS) to review and approve continuing education programs submitted by sponsoring organizations and groups.

Sample Regulatory Language for NCERS Approval California –In January 1982, the California Board of Examiners of Nursing Home Administrators (now the Nursing Home Administrator Program) agreed to accept the NCERS review process for continuing education courses and to recognize NAB-NCERS approval of regional and national continuing education programs.

Sample Regulatory Language for NCERS Approval Texas –§18.35 Continuing Education Requirements for License Renewal –(a) The 40 clock hours of continuing education required for license renewal must: (1) be completed during the previous two-year licensure period;

Sample Regulatory Language for NCERS Approval Texas (2) include one or more of the five domains of the National Association of Boards of Examiners of Long Term Care Administrators, Inc. (NAB) listed in §18.11 of this chapter (relating to Academic Requirements); (3) include at least six clock hours in ethics; and

Sample Regulatory Language for NCERS Approval Texas (4) be: –(A) »approved by the National Continuing Education Review Service; –(B) »a Texas Department of Human Services (DHS)- sponsored event; or

Sample Regulatory Language for NCERS Approval Texas (cont.) –(C) »an upper-division semester credit course taken or taught at a post-secondary institution of higher education accredited by an association recognized by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. –(b) DHS accepts no more than six hours of NAB-approved self-study courses toward the required 40 hours of continuing education.

Sample Regulatory Language for NCERS Approval New Hampshire Nuh Approval of Programs. Approval of continuing education programs shall be based upon the following standards: (a) The program shall directly relate to nursing home administration.

Sample Regulatory Language for NCERS Approval New Hampshire (b) The program shall be sponsored by an accredited college or university, or a recognized state or national professional association or trade association, or both, or shall have received the endorsement of the American College of Health Care Administrators, National Association of Boards of Examiners for Nursing Home Administrators.

Sample Regulatory Language for NCERS Approval Florida Rule 64B (8) reads, Continuing education courses offered and approved by the National Association of Boards of Examiners of Long Term Care Administrators are accepted as long as the requirements are similar to or more stringent than those required by the Board in subsection 64B (1) and Rule 64B , F.A.C.
