Sustainability EconomySociety Environment

Triple Bottom Line The triple bottom line (TBL) focuses corporations not just on the economic value they add, but also on the environmental and social value they add – and destroy. At its narrowest, the term ‘triple bottom line’ is used as a framework for measuring and reporting corporate performance against economic, social and environmental parameters.

Corporate Social Responsibility “achieving commercial success in ways that honour people, communities, the environment and ethical values. CSR is not about philanthropy; it is about how companies earn their money, rather than how they spend it on good works”

Electronics & the Environment Life Cycle Thinking

Electronics & the Environment Whole System Engineering – System defined as “a group of interacting, interdependent parts linked by exchanges of energy, matter and/or information” – Applying knowledge of the entire system to the design and implementation of every element within it and how they fit together
