"She only told me that she loved me." Wandering “only” She offered no additional evidence.

“I only saw the preview; I didn’t see the movie." Very common: put the “only” ahead of the verb. The sound must have been off.

"She told only me that she loved me." Wandering “only” Not the gabby type.

"She told me only that she loved me." Wandering “only” Nothing more to say.

"She told me that only she loved me." Wandering “only” No one else loves me!

"She told me that she only loved me." Wandering “only” She doesn’t idolize me; she doesn’t hate me, but she does love me.

Wandering “only” The point is: the position of “only” makes a difference in the meaning of a sentence. Place your “only” with care, and don’t put it too early.
