Keywords vs. Subjects Keywords  are any words  matches your words  may have more than one meaning and so may return many irrelevant results (like Apple…) Subject headings  are assigned by a human being  Come from a standardized list of terms  Indicate what the book/article is about.

Best way to find subject headings 1. Start with a keyword search.
