FACULTY OF ENGINEERING DEPARTMENT OF CIVIL ENGINEERING SPRING SEMESTER ASSOC.PROF.DR. İBRAHİM YİTMEN CIVL 498 IMPLEMENTATION OF IT IN CONSTRUCTION

2 CIVL 498 IMPLEMENTATION OF IT IN CONSTRUCTION PROCESS MODELLING WITH IDEF0 DIAGRAMS

3 CIVL 498 IMPLEMENTATION OF IT IN CONSTRUCTION  IDEF0 DIAGRAMS  IDEF (Integrated DEFinition function) modelling method to provide a prototype used for KMSs in construction projects.  This method is composed of techniques including IDEF0 that is used to provide a structured representation of the functions, activities and processes within a system; IDEF1 that represents the structure and semantics of information within a system; and IDEF2 that represents the time-varying behavioural characteristics of a system.  IDEF0 consists of a hierarchical series of diagrams and text that includes a top-level diagram divided into more detailed lower level programmes.  A modelling method to represent activities and processes that are necessary for a successful implementation and use of KMSs. It also shows inputs, controls, outputs and relationships among the various activities. PROCESS MODELLING WITH IDEF0 DIAGRAMS
