DRUGS FOR TREATMENT OF NEMATODES MEBENDAZOLE EFFECTIVE AGAINST A WIDE VAREITY OF NEMATODES. DOC FOR TREATMENT OF WHIP WORM, PINWORM,HOOKWORM AND ROUND WORM. ACTS ON THE MICROTUBULES AND DECREASES THE GLUCOSE UPTAKE. CI IN PREGNANT WOMEN –EMBRYOTOXIVC.

PYRANTEL PAMOATE GIVEN ALONG WITH MEBENDAZOLE PERSISTENT ACTIVATION OF PARASITES NICOTINIC RECEPTORS THE PARALYZED WORM IS THEN EXPELLED FROM HOST,S INTESTINAL TRACT.

DIETHYLCARBAMAZINE USED IN TREATMENT OF FILARIASIS BECAUSE OF ITS ABILITY TO IMMOBILIZE FILARIAE.COMBINED WITH ALBENDAZOLE IN THE TREATMENT OF WBANCROFTI AND B MALYI INFECTION.

DRUGS FOR THE TREATMENT OF TREMATODES PRAZIQUANTEL Trematode infections usually treated with praziquantel. All forms of schistosomiasis and cysticercosis. Ci in pregnant women. Ci in ocular cysticercosis.

ALBENDAZOLE INHIBITS MICROTUBULE SYNTHESIS Doc for cysticercosis and hydatid cyst. Treatment of h cyst can be for 3 months.Has risk of hepatotoxicity. Ci in pregnancy.
