EU – UNICEF Project July 2011 – July 2013 – Objective 1: In four countries, analysis of gaps in the accountability and responsiveness of service providers (actors with key mandates in child protection) in identification, referral and response to violnce against children – aim strengthening of the system; – Objective 2: Strengthen independent monitoring of civil society of child rights violations and in particular on violence against children; – Objective 3: Systematic policy dialogue state actors and civil society; – Objective 4: Sharing of lessons learned at larger regional level Context of workshop

Objectives of the workshop Disseminate findings of the research – stock taking for strengthening child protection system for allowing proper response for protecting children Identify strengths and weaknesses in responses to violence against children in the participating countries Agree on policy changes and changes in services building coherent child protection systems; Review opportunities, challenges and lessons learned for such policy reforms.
