Catering and Child Development2 Child Development The course consist of 3 parts, A 6 month child Study 40% A Board prescribed task 30% Examination of the 4 units 30% 87% A* - C Grades at GCSE.

Catering and Child Development3 Benefits of the course Pupils will :- Carry out 1 weeks work experience in a private nursery or school. Gain a certificate in Adult and Paediatric first aid. Take a ‘reality baby’ home over night. Observe a child under 5 years Guest speakers e.g. midwives Prepare simple meals for toddlers Experience ‘The pregnancy bump’
