Presentation transcript:

Students fly and swim around "Virtual" Puget Sound. They visit sites to sample salinity, current speed and direction at different depths and different points in the tidal cycle. They develop accurate conceptual models of Puget Sound.

Big Beef Creek 3D "desktop" model of the watershed. Up to 9 students can fly or walk over the territory. Can probe data-sets. Can leave messages. Can visit interesting sites and view 360° panoramas. Can plan field work. Can do this over the Internet.

Waste Water Treatment Students used PRISM/CEV visualizations to study the issue of sewage treatment. They visited the West Point facility. They inspected and algae bloom in Green Lake. They became more aware of pollution. VPS will be used next with a sewage treatment facility location scenario.
