PROGRAMME STATE OF THE ART  3 Calls for Proposals already launched and projects selected and approved for funding  66 projects approved  1 st Call: 29 projects  2 nd Call: 37 projects  3 rd Call: project proposals currently under evaluation (Call closure 7 May 2010) ~ 60 % of the total ERDF Programme budget already allocated (around 139 Mio € ERDF funds) in the 1 st and 2 nd Call  amounting to ~85 % with the indicative allocation of the 3 rd Call

APPROVED PROJECTS IN THE FIELD OF ENERGY EFFICIENCY ENERCITY - Reducing energy consumption and CO 2 emissions in cities across Central Europe Lead partner: Budapest University of Technology and Economics, HU 10 Project Partners from AT, CZ, DE, SI, IT, HU Total budget:€ (ERDF contribution: € ) Duration: March February 2013 (36 months) Project objective:  Reduce energy consumption and CO 2 emissions of towns and cities in Central Europe, with particular emphasis on housing stocks and industrial areas

APPROVED PROJECTS IN THE FIELD OF ENERGY EFFICIENCY ENERCITY - Reducing energy consumption and CO 2 emissions in cities across Central Europe Activities/results:  Collection of digital data via aerial and ground surveys, including thermal images showing heat energy losses from buildings for 7 CE cities (Budapest, Prague, Munich, Bologna, Treviso, Ludwigsburg and Velenje)  Multi-criteria spatial decision support system to visualize and compare the cost-effectiveness and potential of different renewable energy solutions  Pilot training for carbon mapping, awareness raising campaigns and fuel poverty reduction plans  Recommendations targeting all levels of governance and policy guidance

APPROVED PROJECTS IN THE FIELD OF ENERGY EFFICIENCY GOVERNEE - Good Governance in Energy Efficiency Lead partner: Municipality of Hódmezővásárhely, HU 7 Project Partners from AT, CZ, DE, IT, HU Total budget:€ (ERDF contribution: € ) Duration: April March 2013 (36 months) Project objectives:  Improving the energy efficiency of heating public and communal buildings in partner cities with a special focus on historic buildings  Strengthening the planning competences of policy makers by developing integrated urban development plans in which energy efficiency is one of the driving forces

APPROVED PROJECTS IN THE FIELD OF ENERGY EFFICIENCY GOVERNEE - Good Governance in Energy Efficiency Activities/results:  Energy efficiency analysis, guidelines, feasibility studies  Development of a transnational cross-sectoral strategic toolkit  Establishment of a Knowledge Network and Competence Center  Policy recommendations & coaching focused on energy efficiency in historical buildings  Pilot implementations and trainings

APPROVED PROJECTS IN THE FIELD OF ENERGY EFFICIENCY ENSURE - Energy Savings in Urban Quarters through Rehabilitation and New Ways of Energy Supply Lead partner: City of Ludwigsburg, DE 13 Project Partners from DE, SI, IT, HU, PL Total budget:€ (ERDF contribution: € ) Duration: May 2010 – April 2013 (36 months) Project objective:  Implementation of integrated energy concepts for urban quarters to enhance their energy performance by improving the energy efficiency of the building stock and realizing new energy supply concepts
