Studying Business zHigher Education Orientation Module (HEO) zFrom 2004 every undergraduate in the university will study a HEO module in their first semester.

Studying Business - Aims xTo de-mystify the jargon of Higher Education, and prepare students for working in an academic setting.

Studying Business - Aims xTo provide a specific, subject focussed introduction to the learning strategies students will need to successfully study business, marketing and related subjects, through the development of a professional and personal reflective portfolio, customised to the individual.

Studying Business - Aims xTo introduce students to researching subject material from a wide variety of sources, to critically evaluate and apply their research creatively in an appropriate marketing and business setting.

Learning Outcomes zOn successful completion of this module students will be able to: zUnderstand how to build upon their previous learning and develop strategies for individual success in studying business, marketing and related subjects.

Learning Outcomes zDemonstrate their ability to work in a group with other students, using written, oral and interpersonal skills.
