8 Program goals and objectives 8 Student Learning Outcome #1: Students must possess the ability to communicate with a diverse user group, in a variety of settings to a variety of audiences and purposes. Student Performance ObjectiveTeaching Strategies Student Learning Assessment Strategies Assessment Item Students will be able to show critical thinking skills to demonstrate professional quality work using a variety of oral, written and multimedia techniques. In the TECH 3013, TECH 4143 course students will have numerous writing and presentation projects. (Bloom – application) Process oriented projects will be required that will demonstrate students capabilities in oral and written communications. Assessment will be done by numerous faculty members. Projects will be included each time the course is taught. This goal supports Cameron University’s Plan 2013 Goal 1: The University of Choice, step 1.11 “Build academic distinction in the areas of Communication, Criminal Justice, and Information Technology”. Student Performance ObjectiveTeaching Strategies Student Learning Assessment Strategies Assessment Item Students will demonstrate ethical behavior in a variety of circumstances. In the TECH 4033course students will study ethical issues as they relate directly to career activities. Projects will be required that will have the students solve an ethics issue for a specific audience and purpose. Assessment will be done by numerous faculty members. Projects will be included each time the course is taught. This goal supports Cameron University’s Plan 2013 Goal 1: The University of Choice, step 1.11 “Build academic distinction in the areas of Communication, Criminal Justice, and Information Technology”.(Bloom – application)

10 Fall 2010 Program Quality Improvement Report 10 Program Goals and Objectives Student Learning Outcome 3: Student Performance Outcomes Students will have a basic Teaching Strategies understanding of employee and Student Learning Assessment Strategies resource supervision Assessment Schedule Students will be able to identify and explain various management styles and techniques Students will plan, organize, lead and control entry level technical staff using appropriate management techniques. Given appropriate case study students will identify and explain various management styles and techniques. 1) In the Senior Level Industrial Management TECH 4033 project/case study will be utilized. Rubric ratings will be analyzed. Students will be able to plan resources to meet deadlines Students will be able to use Microsoft Project software in the planning of resources Blooms level: Evaluation Given personnel requirements, resource requirements, and timelines, students will be able to create an action plan. Employer Perceptions 1) In the Junior Level Tech Communication TECH3013 a uniform rubric will be applied to each project. Ratings will be compiled. 2) Survey from the Industrial Advisory Council.
