Analyze geometric features of a form Decompose a form into different parts Rule surface? Sweep surface? Look for form generators Think about suitable modelling approaches

Projective Photograph Digitising Take front, side, & top views of the object Highlight feature curves in the images Decide modeling approach for the main geometry (eg. intersection of 2 loft models)

Freeform Surface Modeling 1 Insert images into corresponding sketch planes

Freeform Surface Modeling 2 Draw curves for the 1 st loft model

Freeform Surface Modeling 3 Draw curves for the 2 nd loft model

Freeform Surface Modeling 4 Intersect the 2 loft models to form final geometry Add other key features to the model

Freeform Surface Modeling 5 Create shell from the model Add further details as necessary
