Presentation transcript:

Design Project 2: Dr. Allison Druin’s Publications Page Group Members: Linda Melchor Yang Hua Ai Rosie Trout

Who is our client? Dr. Allison Druin – UMD faculty member of: iSchool College of Education (affiliate) College of Computer, Mathematical and Physical Sciences (affiliate) – Director of the HCIL – U.S. Commissioner to The United States National Commission on Libraries and Information Science

Research Interests Categories we agreed upon based on her CV: – Children as design partners – Children’s storytelling processes and tools – Computing and robotics – Digital libraries for children – Educational applications – Children’s online communities – User interface technologies

Requirements Keep her basic style and layout Visual ~ some pictures, not graphic intensive Geared towards academics, students, interested companies Focus on children ~ not so much HCI, but a connection Keep relaxed feeling Simple Chronological order Not known-item ~ users wouldn’t necessarily know what they want, so breaking up into user groups would not be viable

Now you see it! html We’ll discuss the design as we view the page…enjoy!
